LA LINEA VERDE AT FRUIT LOGISTICA TO KEEP ON GROWING IN EUROPE

Export, production investments and a new commercial office in Eastern Europe. La Linea Verde bets on 2017.

La Linea Verde, leading Italian agro-alimentary company specialised in the fresh‑cut and fresh-ready meals sector, is one of the main players that will be present at Fruit Logistica, the most important fresh produce trade show in Europe. The Italian Group, being a reliable co‑packer for large‑scale retailers (more than 50 private brands in Italy and abroad) and through its own brand DimmidiSì, ended 2016 with a turnover of 225 million euros and a growth of more than 6% over 2015. A goal the company has achieved largely thanks to the company’s performance in foreign markets. As a matter of fact, in 2016, 35% of La Linea Verde’s sales were generated in foreign markets (versus 5% in 2008), thanks both to export activities from Italy (Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Serbia, Czech Republic, Belgium) and to the performance of the Spanish branch Vegetales Línea Verde Navarra.

We are very satisfied with our export activities. Thanks to our expertise in fresh cut, in logistics and the unquestioned quality of our products, we have started to supply some of the most important retailers in Europe– said Giuseppe Battagliola, President of La Linea Verde –In 2017, we aim to grow and expand our core business even more, taking our fresh‑cut, ready‑to‑eat expertise to an international market, the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Benelux, Croatia and Serbia. Right in Serbia, at the end of 2016, La Linea Verde inaugurated a new commercial office. A the same time in Italy La Linea Verde has been making some investments to meet the ever-changing demands of the market. Moreover, the company is widening its production site in Northern Italy to increase its production capacity and is keeping on investing in state-of-the-art technologies.

The management team of La Linea Verde will be present throughout the entire trade show from 8th to 10th February in Hall 4.2 Stand C-02 and is looking forward to reinforcing their relationship with large‑scale retail buyers active in markets of particular interest. The stand will also organise tastings of DimmidiSì Fresh Soups with show cooking. During the exhibition, new products from La Linea Verde will also be presented to international operators.
