La Linea Verde, leading Italian agro-alimentary company specialised in the fresh cut, ready to eat and the fresh ready made food sectors, is returning to Fruit Logistica, the most important fresh produce trade show in Europe. The Italian Group is the trusted co packer for large scale retailers (50 private brands in total), and through its own brand, DimmidiSì, both in Italy and abroad, ended 2015 with a turnover of 210 million euros and a growth of more than 7% over 2014. The company’s performance in foreign markets played a very important role in achieving these significant goals, and despite the embargo on Russia, foreign markets represented more than 30% of these end-of-year results, thanks to our export activities and to the excellent performance of the Spanish branch established in 2008, Vegetales Línea Verde Navarra.
Giuseppe Battagliola, President of La Linea Verde said: “The overall results achieved in 2015 confirm that we hit the strategic targets we’d set ourselves over the past few years right in the bullseye: to boost our business and our presence in Italy, while also focusing on a long lasting growth abroad. In 2016, we aim to grow and expand our core business even more, taking our fresh cut, ready to eat expertise to an international market, most of all the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Benelux, Serbia and Croatia.
This year, the company will be exhibiting at the Fruit Logistica trade fair from its 80 m2 stand in the Unaproa area in Hall 4.2. The management team of La Linea Verde will be present throughout the entire trade show, and is looking forward to reinforcing their relationship with large scale retail buyers active in markets of particular interest, in view of seeking out new commercial opportunities, as well as new partnerships with local businesses. The company is also interested in meeting potential partners for refrigerated transport for European routes, and suppliers of agricultural raw materials not available in Italy.
Fruit Logistica will also be the occasion to give the international audience an exclusive presentation of the new product innovations, including the new stir-fry vegetables mix L’Altro Contorno, the “On th Go” range of DimmidiSì Fresh Soups including three DimmidiSì Fresh Soups: Chickpea Velouté, Artichoke Velouté and Tomato Velouté. The stand will also be organising tastings of DimmidiSì Fresh Soups and Fresh Smoothies.
